The High School Education program at Colegio Bilingue New Horizons aims to prepare students with an integral, bilingual, and multicultural education. Students are capable of performing in all life areas as integral human beings, able to communicate with clarity and coherence in English and Spanish, and they also demonstrate social and ecological awareness.
The High School level are distributed as follows:
• Seventh grade • Eighth grade • Ninth grade • Tenth grade • Eleventh grade • Twelfth grade
Fully bilingual high school programs, in English and Spanish, include: language, literature, history, geography, economics, foreign languages, science and art, as well as advanced courses (AP) in English, Spanish, history, mathematics, chemistry and computer.
New Horizons cultivates learning experiences that promote values skills and global citizenship, as well as high academic achievements. Baccalaureate students receive an education through advanced teaching strategies and technological resources.
New Horizons Experience
Model United Nations Club: Students participate in local and international United Nations simulations, taking on the role of international delegates.
Debate Team: Students compete in national and international debate tournaments on campuses such as Harvard and Yale.
Eco Club: Students who choose to be part of this club, meet to discuss and find solutions to environmental problems around our school and the community through different activities.
Grupo Estrellas: Students plan and implement community outreach program to help a social cause.
Sports Teams: Teams compete in major intercollegiate tournaments both regionally and abroad.
Drama Club: Students with dramatization skills show their talents through this space that allows them to freely express written productions of their own authorship, as well as literary works of their choice.
